Sacred Saturday is the festivals main day at Union Scene with 8 different artists and bands performing on various stages from 16 hrs. Make sure to visit the Sacred Room in Black Box open between 16 and 21 hrs.
The Sacred Saturday closes with the two main concerts:
Sidiki Camara Group and Matamba on Hovedscenen.
After the concerts at Union Scene, we invite everybody, as previous years, to an informal Sacred Jam from 23:30 in the lobby of Union Brygge hotel, featuring various of the festival’s artists.
Sadhna (Nor)
16:00 Black Box
Sadhna’s song is very particular. She moves across genres of genres, folk, jazz, world music and devotion music. Her voice runs from light vulnerability to dark power, in a way that spellbounds the listener.
Under the Surface (Ned)
17:00 Hovedscenen
A unique trio of three musicians from different generations who have found each other in a common urge to improvise their search for space and silence.
Koame Sereba & Tal Coleman Group (Ivory Coast/Israel)
18:00 Black Box
Kouame Sereba will sing and play on his dodo, kalimba, and drums. Tal Zimra Coleman will be joining him for part of the concert.
Moksha (Nor / Ind)

Oddrun Lilja Jonsdottir on guitar, Sanskriti Shrestha on percussion/vocals and Tore Flatjord on percussion, creating a distinct and unique mix of jazz and Indian Raga with atmospheric improvisation and complex rhythms.
Ceremony with Mongolian shaman
20:00 Tipi tent (outdoor)
Shaman Tserenlkham Davaajav performs a traditional, shamanic transe ceremony with mouthharpe games and drums.
Maria Homme (Nor)

Maria Homme is a creative musician and singer from Skotselv, she compose her own songs. The concert at Union Scene will also include vocal improvisation with Yendini Yoo, which also appears on Maria Hommes debut album.
Sidiki Camara band (Mal/Nor/USA)
21:00 Hovedscenen
Sidiki from Mali has made a strong impact on various jazz scenes around the world. His Sidiki Camara band consists of Audun Erlien (bass, played with Mathias Eick and Bernhoft), Jacob Young (guitar), André Viervoll (keyboards, known from Noora Noor, Nosizwe and Queendom) and Bendik Hofseth (saxophone, collaborated with John McLaughlin, Tony Levin, Django Bates, Rickie Lee Jones…)
Matamba (Bol)
22:00 Hovedscenen
The reggae / hardcore artist who wants to change the world! Last year, he visited Norway for the first time, and made a strong impact on the audience, both in Drammen and in Bergen. Matamba is this year’s artist-in-residence and a LIVE artist worth seeing!
