Kristins last album “I’ll meet you in the morning” received glowing reviews in both the Norwegian and European press, and was followed by a serial of concerts. in Norway, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Austria. Kristin is one of the most original and acclaimed voices in Norwegian music, and is always a great experience to hear live.
The songs are being embraced serenely and hypnotic; raw, groovy and trickling, carried by Kristins quaint way of singing. Her musicians create a distinctive ensemble sound, where strings and percussion are woven into a warm and organic sound. The music carries imprints of West African and Afro-American music, Nordic jazz and contemplative church music.
The stage is set for a unique concert experience with Kristin Asbjørnsen Ensemble.
