Marianne Antonsen is known as the lady with the dark soul voice. She has released several albums on the label Kirkelig Kulturverksted, and she was one of the singers in the popular band Just 4 fun (with Jan Groth and Hanne Krogh). They do sold out concerts in their home city Frerikstad every year.
Drammen Sacred Music Festival is proud to present Marianne Antonsen in our Open Living Room-series.
During Christmas 2017, she announced to her audience that this would be her last concerts. She was diagnosed with brain cancer, and thought that would never perform again. Luckily, the operation went well, and a year later she was back on stage doing Christmas concerts.
She performed in public already as teenager. The group Just 4 Fun was established in 1990, and they released two albums (one gold record), and they also took part in the European Song Contest. In 1992, she released her first solo album, Pickin’ up the Spirit. In 1998 she recorded the solo album Frame this Moment in Alabama and Mississippi. Antonsen was also a member of the group Queen Bees.

We started the Open Living Room-series during last years festival, and it was a great success. To attend a concert in someones living room is a very special experience. And you meet new neighbours and other nice people from Drammen – a perfect setting for new acquaintances.
