Waed Bouhassoun never travels without her oud and some poems from the Syrian poet Adonis. Her concerts are a tribute to the Sufi tradition.
Waed Bouhassoun has grown up with Oum Khalthoum and Farid-al-Atrache as her guides, icons in the Arab world. During her studies at the Royal College of Music in Damas, she developed a unique and personal style deeply rooted in classical Arabic music traditions.
